Chateau Yon-Figeac is laid over 24.23 hectares and mostly sandy clay over iron rich hardpan. This wine has been hand picked and produced with traditional methods, it is then aged in new barrels and some one season old barrels. This vintage has been produced with 82% merlot, 12% cabernet franc and a little introduction of 6% petit verdod for structure.

This is a very deep, dark ruby wine. On the nose the impression is potent with a slight peatiness to it. On the palate it reveals a remarkable substancee to to a fine concentration and freshness. notes of spice and small red fruits leading to a long, beautiful and fully complex finish.
