This vintage of Lytton Springs is made from a blend of 72% zinfandel, 15% petit syrah, 9% carignane, 2% alicante bouschet. 1% cinsaut and 1% counoise (organically grown). A dry winter left the vines struggling to find water, this reduced fruit set in all varietals but especially the zinfandel.

This is rich, spicy and full of black fruit but retains the perfumed exotic spice character with star anise and cloves on the nose. As we have come to love and expect from Ridge, this is packed with finesse.
