Description
The vineyards located just outside Athens yield a classic expression of the indigenous Savatiano grape, which thrives in the Attican climate and is extensively cultivated in the region. For this particular wine, the grapes are carefully sourced from 7 blocks of 50-year-old Savatiano vines in Markopoulo, known for their low yields and unirrigated growth. These vineyards flourish in limestone soil, situated on gentle north-facing slopes at an altitude of 100 meters.
Delicate floral aromas greet the senses, leading to a generous palate filled with the luscious flavours of peach, intertwined with hints of lemon and herbal notes. The wine's texture is delightful, offering a crisp and refreshing experience, complemented by a citrus-tinged and subtly saline finish.
Overall, this wine embodies the unique characteristics of the Savatiano grape and the terroir of its origins, showcasing the harmony between freshness, fruitiness, and a touch of minerality.
