This release of the Kilkerran cask strength single malt has been exclusively matured in bourbon casks. The nose has a floral element, reminiscent of elderflower and heather as an introduction. There are notes of vanilla and custard creams with a confectionery note akin to foam bananas. The palate has notes of cocoa nibs and cured ham, paired with earthy peat smoke which develops with tropical notes of pineapple and coconut. The finish has lingering peat smoke and a long digestive biscuit note.
