Description
This limited edition rum is distilled on the island of Negros, Philippines. The exceptional climate and the volcanic soil bring richness to the sugarcane growing on Mount Kanlaon. After the harvest, the cane is crushed in one of the local mills and the molasses - known locally as 'black gold' are sent to the distillery, this small batch rum was first aged in ex bourbon American oak barrels before being finished in four different types of sherry cask; palo cortado, fino, cream and pedro ximinez. The resulting blend has a delightfully dry almost nutty nose, a rich, fruity taste and wonderfully smooth finish.
