The Chateau de Santenay can trace its history all the way back to the rule of the Dukes of Burgundy in the middle ages. The estate today consists of 95 hectares (235 acres) of vineyards planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay spread over the Cote Chalonnaise, Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits. At the chateau, they endeavor to express the terroir of these diverse vineyards in each individual wine they mate. Their ethos is also to farm responsibly to encourage a maximum biodiversity to protect the environment and their fellow human beings!
