Domaine Girard is run by Fernand and Monique Girard, ably assisted by their son Alain. The family come from several generations of winemakers in the tiny village of Chaudoux, located a few miles northwest of the town of Sancerre and directly north of Chavignol. The Girards lovingly tend 12 hectares of vines and only the best of their production is bottled under their label. A state of the art cellar with all best the modern technology combined with traditional viticultural practices and minimum intervention in both vineyard and cellar result in a beautifully crafted Sancerre. This sancerre is like spring time in a glass. Stunning aromas of elderflower, citrus,gooseberry, flint and white flowers. The palate is precise and bright, filled with zesty crisp lemon and lime for good balance.
