The fruit is sourced from 5 different vineyards, mostly in Ebenezer and Greenock with some from the Western Ridge of the Barossa.
It’s a really typical Magpie red with lovely varietal fruit, black and red cherry, plum, spice and oak on the nose. It’s rich and opulent with ripe black cherry fruits to the fore, plum and cassis too. It has a savoury core, spice and liquorice and vanillan oak. Tannins are ripe but present and this big mouthful will drink well over the next 5-8 years.
