The XO Peat Smoke Expression combines skilfully selected, column and pot still rums which have been matured for 8 to 15 years in American oak barrels. The blend is then finished in Islay peated whisky casks for a further 6 months, adding another dimension to its complex character.

Perfectly marrying the aromas of ripe banana and toasted nuts of XO with the salty and smoky notes coming from the peated whisky casks, this is an expression of their XO like no other.

Appearance is crystal clear, brilliant coppery hues. Slow running lanky legs develop in the glass when swirled. The aromas are distinct of old oak, stewed fruit and sweet caramel interlaced with warm chocolate, bourbon vanilla and smoke. The palate is initially delicate on the palate with a velvety texture, followed with a powerful freshness that culminates in a long and opulent finish.
