Description
The "fume" always comes from their oldest and best vines, Only the finest ripe grapes are hand selected in small boxes of 20 kilos. The grapes are placed on the ground and pressed. The juice from the grapes is transfered instantly in new and used barriques made of French oak and fermented spontaneously in it. Following this treatment the wine is placed with its fine yeast in stainless steel tanks where they stay until it is bottled in summer. The wood give the wine both typical sauvignon blanc notes, as well as that haunting finale with easy smoky, hence the name, fume flavors.
Zeter is one of the rising stars of the Pfalz producers who also follow Organic practices. An aromatic wine with a nose that is sweet and grassy on the nose with some floral brightness and a touch of fruit. The palate has exotic fruit flavours throughout like passion fruit.
