Shiraz has been grown at Coriole since 1873 and over 100 years later in 1985 they planted Sangiovese feeling the variety would offer a great contrast to the richness of McLaren Vale shiraz. In this blend the two varieties come together showcasing lifted red fruits and sweet spice with a medium bodied palate that is full of forest fruits and rich texture.
The heart of the Coriole Estate is the cottage garden planted 50 years ago by Molly Lloyd, the painting on the front of the label was also painted by Molly showing the autumn colours at the estate.
