The use of 'worm tubs' cool the spirit from the stills do wonderful things and bestow the dram with extra flavour of a strong, sulphury nature and help to create a gusty dram that rivals whiskies twice its age.
On the nose it has notes of lemon, orange and pineapple mixed amongst barley and oak. The palate is salted caramel, creamy vanilla and a little spice. The finish carries that little bit of sulpher we mentioned but has a good balance with the sweet and spice.
