Elegant, beautifully balanced Montagny made by Françoise Feuillat-Juillot. An expressive nose of delicate yellow fruits with a touch of honey. The palate is precise, supple and savoury.

Hand harvested from a small premier cru vineyard only 0.6ha in size. The 20 year old vines grow in marl and limestone soils, facing east and south-east, at an altitude of 290 metres. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in thermoregulated stainless steel cuves. The wine is aged on its fine lees for 8-10 months.

Domaine Feuillat-Juillot's Montagny 1er Cru Les Jardins is testament to both Françoise's wine heritage and her modern education. Her deep understanding of the terroir of Montagny means she can bring out Chardonnay's expressive side; mature 20 year-old vines on marl and limestone make for an elegant, concentrated, fresh wine full of white peaches, apricots and honeysuckle.
