2010 is one of the best Barolo vintages of the 21st century. This wine is made from a single vineyard called Dardi le Rose, on Bussia Hill. Starting to show orange colour tones, it has ripe and meaty nose with leather, spice, figs and ripe berry fruit. Warm and spicy palate, good structure with balanced tannins and acidity, can be enjoyed now or lay down for 10-15 years.
Perfect with a big Veal chop or good buttery egg pasta with shaved black truffle. Also works well with particularly rich fish dishes such as roast turbot.
