Made from 85% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense and fairly complex on the nose. The start features red berries, blueberries and raspberries with hints of floral aromas too like violets. The flavour is sweet, a fresh start with a good body with mature tannins and leads to a very pleasing finish.
Chile's first wine was bought to the country back in 1554! By a Spanish priest named Francisco de Carabantes. Vina Von Siebenthal named its first wine after Carabantes in order to honor this pioneer of Chilean viticulture.
Food Pairing:
We think a Chilean Syrah would be a match made in heaven with beef, lamb and game dishes like deer or venison.
