Description
Casa la Borracha means 'house of the drunken woman'! This should not be underestimated though, it is a top class Bobal offering from a boutique winery. Made with 100% Bobal grapes grown on the vineyard which are then cold macerated for 4 days in American oak barrels with stainless steel panels placed on top. Once the fermentation gets underway the panels are removed and they are then gently pressed after 15 days. The wine is then aged for 10 months in new French Allier oak barrels.
The result of this production is a wine with vivid aromas of dense and rich black fruits with slight balsamic acidity. The palate is complex with blackcurrants and spice but well balanced with that acidity. You will fine it well structured with tannins that give a great back bone to a rich and full palate.
Food Pairing: This is great with meat rich and red sauced pasta dishes. Or Antipasto.
