Missing Virgin from Post House is a full bodied pinotage with light tannin structure and a lively long finish. On the nose it is dark berries, blueberries and fruitcake.
The name refers to a printing error on a Virgin Island Stamp, the virgin figure was amitted from the stamp and hence the nickname 'Missing Virgin'. Ursula was a virgin martyr who lived between the third and fifth centuries AD. She was born in Britain, avoided marriage to a pagan king and is believed to have been slain for her faith along side 10,000 virgin companions in Germany, where Christopher Columbus named the Virgin Islands in honour of her.
Food Pairing:
This pinotage suits a good smoky BBQ dish with a fresh herby side.
