A delicious blend of no more than 5 grape varieties. Made by talented winemaker 'Bruce Jack' from Drift Farm. The grapes are grown organically in different sites and soil types according to each varieties requirements. They are then fermented separately before blending together to achieve the balance and complexity. The fermentation takes place in open fermenters which are generally wild it is then aged in old oak for 18 months. On the nose the wine has ripe, black berry fruits with a touch of pepper and cigar box notes. The palate is generous with elegant red fruits, raspberry, cherry and plums with layers of dark mocha chocolate, dark fruits and a fine lengthy finish. This is a top class wine which used to sell for in excess of £30 per bottle.
Blend: Malbec 40%, Syrah 32%, Pinot Noir 10%, Touriga Nacional 10%, Tannat 8%
