Quinta do Bacalhoa is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown in the Teras do Sado region of Portugal. It has been aged in French Allier oak for 13 months with a minimum of 6 months bottle aging. Aromas of wood spice and reds fruits on the nose. The palate is medium to full, with red fruits, soft tannins which are well integrated with the spicy vanilla notes form the oak aging. Long multi layered finish, firm but soft structure.
Food: Pairs well with strong fish, poultry or red meats.
