Hoxton Gin is the brain child of acclaimed mixologist, bar owner and general trend setter Gerry Calabrese. With Hoxton being widely regarded as the creative hub of London, Gerry has carved out the reputation of being something of a maverick and is a huge influence on the bar and club scene.
Unsurprisingly, Hoxton isn't your usual gin as it's very coconut and grapefruit forward on the palate. The gin is made from natural ingredients at a cutting edge micro distillery in the capital with all the constituent parts being sourced ethically. Botanicals such as juniper, ginger and tarragon are soaked in alcohol for nearly a week before being distilled in an old copper pot still. This ultra smooth distillate is then blended with grain spirit before the coconut and grapefruit is introduced. Finally, this is left to rest in stainless steel tanks for two months so that the flavours are perfectly married together when it's sold.
Now presented in a 50cl bottle rather than 70cl with new label!
