This Limited Edition from Spey has had only 3,000 bottles made after resting for 10 years in Port Casks.
On the nose it is light, well balanced, notes of red wine, boiled sweets. A few drops of water will bring additional aromas of pear drops. On the palate it is oily but carries a delicate texture. Delicate fruit profile, combined with initial spicy, white pepper that balance well. A few drops of water maintain soften the overall dram but all the flavours of fruit and spice remain in balance. Never comes across as a harsh dram with or without water. The finish is well balanced and a medium to long finish that softly fades.
