This is a classic Cairanne Cote du Rhone Villages; the palate is smooth and medium bodied with liquorice and aniseed spice complemented by a core of blackberry fruit.
Arc du Rhone is named after the classified group of villages which together line up to form a geographical arc across the valley of the southern Rhone known locally as the 'arc of gold'. The village of Cairanne at the western tip of this arc of gold is one of the rising stars of the region. here Grenache Noire, Syrah and an important Mouvedre component vinified with a touch of oak produce a wine of real personality.
