An This has been one of our best-selling wines since we introduced this last year. Made from a blend of Veneto grape varieties with the addition of some Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are air dried to concentrate the flavour.

This Tempranillo is full of ripe fruit, lifted floral characters and then a deliciously meaty savouriness on the nose with notes of wood smoke and liquorice. The palate is plump and lifted, with blackberry fruit, clove and dark chocolate - complex and intense, with beautiful nuances and a long finish.
The vineyards are planted on sandy soils at an altitude of 750 metres above sea level. Gobelet trained Tempranillo vines at a density of 1,600 vines/hectare. The vines average 60-100 years in age and as a result produce small yields of just 1-1.5kgs/vine. Fermented at 28ºC in stainless steel and then aged for 14 months in French and American oak barriques.
Roasted pork or lamb or a tagine of sorts.
