A well awarded shiraz, Gold - China Wine and Spirits Awards 2017, Platinum and Best in Show - Decanter 2017. Gold - International Wine Challenge 2017 and Gold - AWC Vienna Int Wine Challenge. Deep red in colour, powerful and complex aromas with ripe black cherries and blackberries with notes of eucalyptus, white pepper and vanilla all wrapped in a fine spicy tannin structure.
Founded by a passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated Bob Berton. The vineyard was setup in 1996. Producing an outstanding range of wines from a variety of vineyard sites in the South Australia, their wines are always on the money. Aussie classics such as the Shiraz and Chardonnay sit alongside more experimental varieties including Vermentino and Moscato in a range that covers everything from crisp, easy drinking whites to mouth filling bold reds.
The Shiraz Reserve and Chardonnay Reserve wines are still sourced from the original 1996 plot, 30 hectares of land on gently rolling hills in the sub-region of Eden Valley. In 2007 they purchased the Yenda winery in the heart of the Riverina.
Their state of the art facility has the capacity to process 20,000 tonnes and allows Berton to produce value for money wines alongside his premium single vineyard bottlings.
Well paired with pork, duck or strongly flavored saucy dishes, can also compliment the stronger flavored fish dishes.
