The Kylver single malt whsiky series from Wolfburn is named after a burial stone that features one of the earliest discovered examples of the runic alphabet. The expressions in this series are all deemed by Wolfburn to have come from a particularly good cask and this, the Wolfburn Kylver Series 2nd Release, bears the symbol known as 'uruz'. This means aurochs or wild ox. The auroch was a particularly large breed of shaggy cow that is now extinct.
The whisky itself was drawn from a combination of bourbon barrels and a second fill Oloroso Sherry butt and there are only 1400 of these bottles available anywhere.
