Description
One of three new bottlings from Lowland distillery Bladnoch. Talia which has been aged for 25 years has been aged in three different woods - ex bourbon, ex sherry and ex whisky casks with a finishing in new American oak. Bottled at cask strength with little filtration to preserve the natural flavours and oils. A spicy complex malt which won a double gold at San Francisco Spirits competition in 2017 is elegant with sweet oaky and hints of citrus fruit.
Colour: Deep gold. Nose: Elegant, mature nose, old leather, waxy, cedar, polished oak, ginger, vanilla and malty with a hint of green apples.
Palate: Quite spicy but silky, gingerbread, some honey, vanilla, sweet oak with a hint of Seville orange and coconut biscuity maltiness.
Finish: Sweet and spicy with a hint of citrus, honeycomb and sweet oaky notes. Soft, lingering and gently drying. Technical Details Filtration: Non-chill filtered. Natural colour. Natural Strength. ABV: 49.2% Proof: 98.4% Awards San Francisco Spirits Competition 2017 – Double Gold Medal
