Probably a grape variety you may not of heard of, but Egiodola is a wonderful plum scented wine, fleshy and well strcutured. Born from crossing 2 old grape varieties, the Fer and the Abourriou, it was created to meet qualitative objectives. Durquety from the INRA of Bordeaux obtained this new grape variety and it was authorised to be planted in 1978. It has quite a lot of qualities such as the fact of being very resistant to diseases which is much appreciated in organic farming, high in tannins it has to be aged for longer to mellow these. It is rich in polyphenols, which are at the origin of the effect of red wine on the blood system.

Domaine de Brau
Organic since 1989, with appproximately 40 hectares of vineyards planted on a range of loam, chalk, marl and sandstone soils, Gabriel and Wenny are able to plant their vines in the soil that suits each of the grapes best. Blessed with the Languedocs predictable sunshine, they also benefit from the cooling sea breezes. A perfect combination for any vine to thrive in!
