Following the trend for Highland distilleries to released peated versions of their Malts, Glendronach has released its first ever peated whisky which has been matured firstly in Bourbon wood then a finishing period in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. Spicy on the nose with wood smoke, barley and vanilla. The palate is floral with honey and barley sugar. Subtle peat notes becoming drier on the finish with gentle embers of smoke. Phenol level of 25 ppm.
