Established in 1897 on the site of a former flax mill. It produced both malt and grain whisky until being mothballed in 1985 before being dismantled in 1996. This bottling from Gordon & Macphail is one of just 238 bottles distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2013. Aromatic with stewed fruits and menthol. Delicate honey and vanilla notes develop. The palate has cracked black pepper with orange and strawberry flavours.
