Old and Rare bottle of Port Ellen by Douglas Laing. Distilled in 1982 and bottled in November 2012, aged 30 years old at cask strength of 53.1% vol, 1 of 139 bottles only. Presented in a wooden gift box with letter of authenticity and bottle number.
Tasteng Note: Opens fresh and surprisingly sweet on the nose carrying fruity-peaty-style plus toffee. Now its Islay character becomes even more apparent on the palate with ashes and bandages, yet still sweetly spiced. The finish is long, briny and lightly smoked with lingering camphor quality
