This vintage was selected from the very last production of Glen Garioch prior to distillery shutdown in October 1995. It has been patiently maturing in 1st fill bourbon barrels for over 16 years.
Colour Rich sunset gold
Nose Robust and full flavoured with rich malt, interwoven with rich oak spices. An initial impression of spiced mocha and manuka honey on buttered toast, followed by hazelnut chocolate spread and muscovado sugar.
Water releases more buttery and toffee notes, now reminiscent of buttered pancakes and bananas smothered in golden syrup.
Taste Warm and spicy with a smooth velvety texture. On the palate, taste warm pancakes filled with layers of baked banana and toffee sauce, mocha chocolate and warm golden syrup.
Finish A long finish with toasted vanilla and syrup
Picture is of a 1994 bottle but presentation is the same.
