Description
With more than 175 years of experience, devotion and work, the Castarde family knows how to select the best possible Bas Armagnac grapes in addition to growing its own, on its estates in the region. After fermentation into a fine acidic, light wine, the crucial distillation process follows in Armagnac stills. Maturation is in oak barrels for ten years, which is twice the statutory minimum for VSOP Armagnac.
Tasting Note
:Amber core with a bronze rim; shows mellow walnut, warm spices, cocoa and prunes on the nose. Mellow attack on the palate, but not cloying thanks to a delicious freshness and texture.
