Description
This wine has concentrated dark fruit nose with an austere, gentle palate weight. Tannins are velvety and offer a slow-pronounced aromatic finish!
It appears to be dominated by red fruits with lots of mulberry, raspberry and red cherry but behind all of this there are sweeter black. There is a lovely complex mix of black and red flavours on the palate the sweet fruit mix backed by a herbal twist on the finish. Derek Smedley MW 92 pts
In this instance the blend consists of 34% Sangiovese, 20% Pinot noir, 31% Shiraz, 13% Nebbiolo, 2% Mourvedre and 5% Barbera. The excitement of Hannibal is about the different grape varieties and their resulting taste colours.
Concentrated, dark and fruity with whiffs of oak and wood on the nose. Velvety tannins offering a sumptuous slow-pronounced finish, indicates plenty of promise for those who are prepared to wait.
