Description
Frenchman's Creek is a beautiful and unspoilt tributary of the Helford River which divides the remote Lizard Peninsula from the rest of Cornwall. Its tidal waters reflect green wooded banks, grey mullet bask in its warm shallows and curlews probe the mud for shellfish at low tide. This glorious spot was immortalised in Daphne Du Maurier's novel of the same name as the hideaway of a romantic 17th century French pirate.
A superb India Pale Ale, this contains plenty of hops which make for a surprisingly sweet flavour and floral aroma.
