Jeffersons CEO Trey Zoeller like to drink Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa valley when hes not drinking Bourbon. When Groth winery achieved a 100 points for its Cabernet Sauvignon from Robert Parker, Trey managed to obtain the barrels and filled them with fully matured bourbon. But not content with this new finish, he put the barrels into a 'hot box' ( a steel container which gets up to 120 degrees in the summer) to sweat out the wine from the casks. Over the ensuing months, the bourbon took on unique characteristics from the Groth barrel which married together in a supremely balanced spirit today, our Groth Cask Finish explodes with luscious dark berry flavors, such as black cherry and blackberry, evident from the red hue that the bourbon has adopted
