From the very beginning, Grand Marnier was endoed with the unique features for which it is still famous today:the amber-coloured bottle, inspired by the silhouette of a Cognac pot still, the iconic and unique wax seal, certifying the each bottles quality and the redmoir ribbon.
Its makers, Marnier-Lapostolle, established their distillery at Neauphle-le-Chateau in the 1820's, but only began producing Grand Marnier in 1880.
The cognac is actually aged elsewhere, at Chateau de Bourge in the Charente area.
