A stylish and concentrated Verdicchio with notable aromas of grapefruit, pineapple and lime and a fresh, dry palate with a hint of saltiness and minerality. This is full of citrus fruit right through to its attractive savoury finish.
Monte Schiavo is a modern and dynamic company with 115 hectares in the Marche region of Italy - the heart of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi country. Producing both red and white wines, it's their signature Verdicchios for which they are best known - with four single-estate Verdicchio wines.
In the Vineyard
Made from 100% Verdicchio grapes cultivated in Monte Schiavo's 'Coste del Molino' vineyards in the commune of Poggio S. Marcello. The vineyard has sandy soil and is at an altitude of 210 metres above sea level. The vines are trained on simple, inverted arches. The grapes are hand harvested in several stages , usually during the first 10 days of October. The average yield is 9.0 kg per hectare.
