  • Amrut Fusion Indian 50% 70cl
    Voted 3rd best whisky in the World by Jim Murray whisky Bible 2010. A strongly flavoured whisky which has gained many new advocates for the quality produced at Amrut distillery.

    Nose : Heavy, thicky oaked and complex: some curious barley sugar notes here shrouded in soft smoke. Big, but seductively gentle, too..

    Taste : The delivery through controlled at first, is massive! Then more like confusion as that smoke on the nose turns into warming, full brown peat, but it far from gets its own way as a vague sherry trifle note(curious, seeing how there are no sherry butts involved) - the custard presumably is okay vanilla hammers home that barley - fruitness to make for a bit of a free for all; but for extra food measure the flavours develop into a really intense chocolate fudge middle which absolutely resonates through the palate;

    Finish : A slight struggle here as the mouthfeel gets a bit puffy here with the dry peat and oak; enough molassed sweetness to see the malt through to a satisfying end, though. Above all the spices, rather than lying down and accepting their fae, rise up and usher this extraordinary whisky to its exit;

  • Jim Beam Devil's Cut Bourbon 45% 70cl
    As bourbon ages, a portion of the liquid is lost from the barrel due to evaporationthat's the "Angel's Share." After aging, when the bourbon is dumped out of the barrel, a certain amount of whiskey is left trapped within the wood of every barrel.
    We call that the "devil's cut."
    To create Jim Beam Devil's Cut, an extraordinary new bourbon experience, we developed a proprietary process that actually pulls the rich whiskey trapped inside the barrels' wood after they're emptied. We hold this barrel-treated extract until it develops the proper balance of bourbon notes, then blend it with 6 year old bourbon and bottle at 90 proof. The result: a robust, premium bourbon with deep color, aroma and character.
    A distinctly bold bourbon with rich flavor unleashed from deep inside the barrel wood.
    The TasteFull bodied with intense oak and vanilla notes.The FinishLong, smooth, with a hint of sweetness.

  • Dead Mans Fingers Small Batch Spiced Rum 37.5% 70cl

    Dead Man’s Fingers Spiced Rum was released in 2015 by the owners of The Rum & Crab Shack, a delightful rum and seafood restaurant in picturesque St. Ives, Cornwall. The business proved so successful that they have also recently opened another Rum & Crab Shack in Exeter. To our knowledge, it's the first spiced rum to be blended and bottled in Cornwall.

    Dead Man’s Fingers is a blend of Caribbean rums from Barbados and Trinidad that warms he cockles and stirs the soul; in other words, it is very tasty indeed! We get saffron cake, Pedro Ximinez ice cream, caramel and vanilla with cinnamon, nutmeg and orange notes. Delicious!

    This is a very easy drinking spiced rum that can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or mixed with cola; once opened, a bottle of Dead Man’s Fingers tends to disappear rather quickly. As you can see from the reviews, this is very highly rated by people who have tried it and is one of our best selling rums of all time.

    The rum takes inspiration from Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, a premium rum from Venezuela. It was after one boozy night drinking this that Rum & Crab Shack owners Neythan Hayes and Chris McGuire decided to open the Rum & Crab Shack! You can read more about this on our blog ‘Dead Man's Fingers - Cornwall's Newest Small Batch Rum’.

  • Tarquins Dry Gin 42% 70cl

    The first gin to be distilled in Cornwall for over 100 years, Tarquin’s Dry Gin is a contemporary take on the classic London Dry. 12 botanicals are used in its production, with Devon violets and fresh citrus zest dominating this light, floral, easy drinking gin.

    Southwestern Distillery use juniper from Kosovo as it’s fresh and quite floral. Lemon sherbert coriander seeds are sourced from Bulgaria rather than the spicier Moroccan variety. The fresh zest of orange, lemons and grapefruits are also used along with angelica root, orris root, green cardamom, almonds, cinnamon, liquorice root. The final botanical in this wonderful gin is Devon violets, sourced from Tarquin’s own garden!

    South Western Distillery is headed up by Tarquin who is so proud of his creation he puts his name on every bottle. He believes in doing things the old-fashioned way, even if it takes longer. Only the best and most pure spirit (the heart) makes it into Tarquin's Gin, which is diluted to bottling strength at 42% with Cornish spring water. Tarquin's Dry Gin is made in small batches of just 300 bottles at a time before being hand selected, bottled, labelled and signed by Tarquin himself. This attention to detail goes some way to explaining why this is our best selling Cornish gin.

    As the original Cornish gin maker, Tarquin has since released several equally exciting varieties such as Tarquin’s Tonquin Gin, Tarquin’s Sea Dog Navy Strength and Tarquin’s Cornish Crocus Gin.
