Cape Cornwall

In 1925, mysterious bottles of alcohol were discovered built into the walls of the Bollowal Farm cottage. Legend has it that to avoid high government taxes, rum and other goods were often smuggled into Cape Cornwall by boat and stored in a farm building known as “the Wink”. These rums now honour that legend by lovingly ageing, mixing and spicing our specially selected and imported Caribbean Rums.

The brand's history dates back to the smuggling days of the 18th century, where Ballowal Farm, the site of the distillery, played a pivotal role in the illegal import of rum from the Caribbean. The three core products from Cape Cornwall Rum are the Spiced, Golden and White Rum. The Spiced Rum is a complex blend of aged rums that are then steeped in a secret bill of spices which includes saffron, cinnamon and nutmeg with a touch of vanilla. it is perfect for sipping or as the base of a great cocktail.

The Gold Rum is a smooth and mellow blend of aged rums, with notes of toffee and caramel. It is perfect for rum sipping connoisseur.

The White Rum is a crisp and clean blend of the finest unaged rums, which provides subtle hints of sweetness and a smooth finish. A great addition and base of those Watermelon Daiquiri's or Coconut Mojito's.

CAPE CORNWALL SPICED RUM

This premium Spiced Rum is a blend of their Golden, cask aged Caribbean rum that is then expertly blended with spring water sourced at Cape Cornwall. It is then flavoured / spiced over time with adventurous spices, including vanilla, Cornish saffron and nutmeg to name a few.

CAPE CORNWALL GOLD RUM

This fine, cask aged Caribbean rum is blended with fresh Cornish spring water from Cape Cornwall. This provides distinct chocolatey notes among the fresher grassy and classy rum notes.

The Gold Rum is made up of a rum from Barbados which has been aged for 3 years and another 5 year old cask aged rum from the Dominican Republic.

CAPE CORNWALL WHITE RUM

This vibrant White Rum is made from a blend of a 2 and 5 year old charcoal filtered rums from Trinidad which they then enhance with the use of crisp and clean spring water from Cape Cornwall.
