Description
This wine has a light straw yellow colour with a greenish glow. There is a complex, rich delicate bouquet, initially reminiscent of Broom and lime, then suggesting a sensation of mixed fruity flavours of green apples, pears and pineapple. A well balanced, dry and fragrant wine that stresses its fruity flavour. Pleasantly persisting, slightly bitter aftertaste.
Grape
:Made from the Vernaccia grape, unique to San Gimignano, Tuscany.
Location
:Produced around the famous towers of San Gimignano in the province of Siena in Tuscany, Italy.
Vinification Note
:The grapes were harvested between the 6th to the 20th of September. Softly crushed so as not to break the pips and cause unwanted bitter tannins. The fermentation process was carried out in steel tanks, which were temperature controlled (18C). Once fermentation and filtration has been completed the wine was allowed to settle for a period of five months in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling
