Description
Faustino I Gran Reserva Rioja is probably one of the most famous and recognised labels on the market today. A Spanish icon, first released in 1964 and one of the great traditionally styled Gran Reservas. Pale Victoria plum in colour, aromas of plums and raspberries combined with hints of cedar, vanilla and spice. This is a smooth and celvety wine with excellent integration of Christmas cake fruits and spices, with a hint of vanilla on the finish.
Its complexity and harmony results from the prolonged ageing with 30 months spent in a combination of French and American oak and at least three years in bottle.
Grapes: 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5 Mazuelo.
