Description
The distinctive style of Maderia, a fortified wine, evolved from the fact that during the the18th century east-bound ships would frequently transport barrels of Maderia wine for sale in the Far East or Australia and as the ships journeyed through the Tropics, the wine was heated and then cooled again during the six-month voyage.
An opulent and inviting nose, very full and complex on the palate with raisens and barley sugar merging into an elegant clean finish.
