Chateau la Croix de Grezard is a small vineyard, 9 acres, located in the Lussac St Emilion appellation controlee on clay rich soil. The Merlot gives the power, the Cabernet Franc the charm and the Cabernet Sauvignon a bit of extra structure.
The vines have an average age of over 30 years, some of them being over sixty years old.
VINIFICATION
The wine is vinified in cement vats, ideal for red wines, and partly aged in oak.

Chateau La Croix de Grezard is English owned and English managed by Our Man in Bordeaux Bill Bolter. Bill is half of an increasingly successful winemaking partnership, the other half being Michel Danlos who moved here from Petit-Village in Pomerol. The Grezard 2003 was awarded Gold at the Sommelier Wine Awards and was described as very food friendly by top sommeliers at a recent on-trade tasting.
