Description
Chateau Haut Gros Caillou is situated on the specific soil of appleation controlee district Saint-Emilion, perched on the hills above the Dordogne river, in the village of Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens. It comprises seven hectares of vineyards divede between 80 merlot and 20% Cabernet franc. These vines produce wines which are characteristically fruity, elegant and very supple with the ability to develop exquisit secondary flavours upon maturity.
The 2005 vintage has a wonderful depth of ripe fruits, a very good vintage.
