Description

Tomintoul Distillery is located near to the village of Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands of Scotland in the prestigious Glenlivet Estate at the heart of the Speyside region. Amber in colour with a rounded softness on the nose. Hints of hazelnut and candied peel. The palate is full flavoured, nutty with spicy overtones with an abiding creamy finish that ends with a hint of spice.

Jim Murray Whisky Bible 2012 _ 94.5

Fruity concoction of apples and pears topped with vanilla ice cream.one of the noses of the year. Soft, indeed every bit as gentle as the label promises, as the light oils coat the palate with a fabulously intense and delicately sweetened barley skin. A wonderful, multi-layered interplay between malt and oak-vanillas..hugely sophisticated.
