Description

Glendullan Distillery was founded in 1897, and was the last built of the original seven distilleries of Dufftown. Glendullan was rebuilt in the 1960s and an additional distillery unit was built between 1971-72.

TASTING NOTE

Colour: Pale gold.

WITHOUT WATER

:Nose: Light esters - pear drops. A hint of vanilla and a delicate coconut note.

Palate: Initially hot and spicy. A prominent sweetness is present with malty notes. Reminiscent of freshly baked bread.

WITH WATER

:Nose: Fruity - a distinctive banana note is evident and other soft fruits. The prominent sweetness is still present.

Palate: Silky smooth and pleasantly sweet.

Body: Light.

Finish: Long and mouth coating.

Cask Type(s): Refill American hogsheads.
