Jackabuss, CambridgeI gave the 1st edition of Machrie Moor quite a bit of time, but was blown away by Arran's 2nd edition! Just what you would hope for from a moderately peated whisky from this distillery. I got an initial Lemongrassy/Pearish taste, followed by a really well balanced smokey whosh on the back of the palate. I look forward to watching (and tasting) this evolving range of Arran expressions :)xx

whisky apprentice - Newlyn, CornwallCOMMENTS
Light, clean sweetness, leafy, buttery, faint peat.
Waxy feel, apple, sherbet, coal like sourness.
Drying towards the finish.
I was a little bit disappointed with this one ( after the 10, 12 & 14). I may have expected to much.
