This wine comes from the little village of Chavignol, which is renowned not only fro having some of the best "terrior" in the Sancerre appellation but also for its goats cheese.
This wine grown from Sauvignon blanc grapes on the steep chalky-clay slope, known as "Comte Jean Marechal", above the village, is elegant and structured, with full gooseberry fruit balanced by crisp acidity.
