Description
The Sous le Puits is pale yellow with a distinctive bouquet of brioche and almonds. Already very pleasant, it is round with a persistent finish.
Puligny-Montrachet is the 216 hectare geographical middleman of the white wine villages, bordered by Meursault to the north and by Chassagne-Montrachet to the south with which it harbours 5 of the 6 white Grands Crus in Burgundy. The vineyard of Sous le Puits is in the heart of a cluster of the finest Premier Crus from Puligny-Montrachet, amongst wines such as Les Truffires , Les Chalumaux and Les Perrires . The wine is rich and opulent with a focused gout de terroir. The typical flavour of the wine of Sous le Puits is buttery rich with a spicey exotic fruit character and a crisp balancing acidity. The finish is lingering.
