This Chilean Merlot is soft and juicy with plum, cherry and bramble fruit aromas. The ripe fruit palate has excellent balance, weight and a long finish.
With prime vineyards in Casablanca, Maipo, Rapel and Bio-Bio and access to the newest and best clones in Chile (through Jose Guilisasti, brother of Emilianas General Manager Rafael who runs Chiles foremost nursery) Emiliana is a very substantial and impressive organisation. As South Americas largest organic producer, with 250 hectares of IMO and Demeter certified vineyards and a further 250 hectares in conversion, their spectacular vineyard and winery at Los Robles has the added benefit of being biodynamic and features the sensory delights of roaming Alpacas, dung heaps and dynamised biodynamic mixtures to treat the vineyards.
